Salem Bike Vision and the Bike Peddler teamed up to put on a fun and worthwhile event in October. First Ian Davidson, co-founder of Salem bike vision, led a large group of us from the Bike Peddler down various streets to show us some of what has been done and to help us start thinking of what could be done to make biking safer and more accessible in Salem.
This was followed by a return to the Bike Peddler for six short films called Filmed by Bike. These films were made by cyclists for cyclists. They showed unique, innovative, and really thoughtful ways that people are using their love of bikes to create community and to enhance their lives and the lives of their neighbors.
Free popcorn was provided by Salem Bicycle Club and drinks were provided by Santiam Brewing. Salem Bike Vision raffled off some really great prizes donated by local businesses to help Salem Bike Vision continue their great work in advocating for safer streets for cycling in Salem
