Ride Around Clark County 2026
On July 26th, 7 SBC members ventured up to Vancouver Washington to participate in the Ride Around Clark County. This year it was an all-new route, and I think a big improvement. It actually felt like a tour of some of the highlights of the City of Vancouver. Vancouver Bicycle Club took advantage of the many miles of paved biking and hiking trails that the city has to offer. They led us through the Burnt Bridge Creek Trail, the Salmon Creek Park Greenway, and the Padden Parkway Trail. We got to see the Botanical Gardens and the campuses of both Clark College and Washington State University. We were led along the shores of the Columbia River and Vancouver lake. They offered a narrative of some of these highlights in their Ride with GPS map. The food was very good and at one rest stop, Firestone Farms, we got delicious perfectly ripe fresh peaches. We ended and began at the historic Fort Vancouver. All in all, an excellent ride and well worth doing again another year.
