I’m seeking volunteers to help plan a cross-country bike ride from Florida to California as part of a fundraiser and awareness campaign for prostate cancer. This effort is part of Earth and Ocean (https://earthandoceanexpedition.com), a nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness through a story of perseverance, courage, and hope. At the center of the project is an individual living with Stage 4 Prostate Cancer who is undertaking a multistage journey involving hiking, rowing, and biking across two continents and two oceans.
I am leading the planning for the fifth of six stages: a 4,000-mile ride across the southern United States, based on the Southern Tier Route from Adventure Cycling and expected to begin in February or March 2028. More than an endurance challenge, this ride is a chance to raise awareness, inspire resilience, and rally support for a cause that affects countless lives.
I’m building a small team to help with planning, outreach, and practical support. If you want to contribute your time, ideas, or encouragement to a meaningful cause, I would love to hear from you.
The journey will be shared through social media, nonprofit partnerships, mini-documentaries, speaking engagements, and community outreach. While ambitious, this project has the power to inform, encourage, and show what determination and support can achieve.
