Food Coordinator Perspective

This was my first year serving as Food Coordinator. Many thanks to Mary for providing detailed notes about past Cookie events, to Debbie as we worked together on food and rest stop coordination, and to the planning committee for their overall support! We piloted some new foods and some new vendors.

The McNary High School Culinary Arts students made coffee, muffin tops, hard boiled eggs, wraps for the lunch stop, and also our signature Monster Cookies. Dave’s Killer Bread donated bagels and snack bars. Skratch (via Scott’s Cycle) generously donated our electrolyte drink. Pickle juice was provided by one of our SBC members.

Chocolate covered espresso beans made an appearance at Rest Stop 3. Very popular was the fresh fruit - bananas, grapes, melon, pineapple, and strawberries - provided by EZ Orchards, a returning vendor and SBC sponsor.
