Rides start at the Red Lot, located between Center and Marion Streets on Capitol Street across from McDonald's, unless otherwise indicated. Cyclists of all abilities are invited to participate in club rides.  Maps or directions for all routes are available from the ride coordinator at the beginning of each ride.  Rides usually include a lunch stop before returning to Salem.  The club requires that all riders start the ride at the scheduled time and place to comply with club insurance regulations and to receive mileage credit.  Riders should carry a water bottle, tire pump, spare tube and patch kit.

The club requires the use of ANSI- or SNELL-approved helmets.

High Wheeler - Shorter rides on which a club member will accompany slower cyclists on the entire route.  New riders are encouraged to participate on High Wheelers until they have become acquainted with the club.

Easy - Rides of up to 50 miles with few hills.

Moderate - Hilly rides of up to 50 miles or any other ride of between 50 and 70 miles. You should have some cycling experience with the club or other cycling groups prior to participating in Moderate rides.

Difficult - Hilly rides of more than 50 miles and all rides of 70 miles or more. You must be an experienced cyclist to participate in Difficult rides.
